Texila American University (TAU) – Distance and Online Learning Program and UNESCO-IAU listed Universidad Central de Nicaragua (UCN) (English name: Central University of Nicaragua) have signed an agreement to collaborate academically and also in the area of scientific research.
UCN was founded in 1997. Its fully accredited and recognized by Ministry of Education of the Republic of Nicaragua via the National Council of Universities CNU in official government session No 10-1998 and approved by the Assembly of the Republic Act No. 2822 according to law. UCN is listed with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) International Association of Universities and the international handbook of accredited universities published by the United Nations.
Students pursuing their studies through Texila American University – Distance and Online Learning, will receive degree/certification from UCN. These programs are joint venture between TAU and UCN. TAU shall be the academic delivery partner taking care of curriculum development, online learning platforms, Faculty and digital library resources and appointing academic delivery team, while UCN and TAU shall take care of quality control and exams jointly. It is Imperative to mention here that the degree awarded by UCN is recognized worldwide.
The distance and online education program is committed to provide career-oriented educational programs at the Diploma, Bachelor, Masters/Postgraduate and Doctoral level through wide network worldwide.
Through online study the SBS intends to provide the students with stimulating and learning-friendly atmosphere to utilize higher level of their intellectual capacity required to specialize in respective areas of study.
The medium of instruction will be in English
Courseware: Students will be able to access the comprehensive course ware through online
Video/Audio: Where ever necessary video/audio materials will be provided
Assignments: Assignments are integral part of online learning. The program guide will provide the details of the requirement.
Academic Counseling: Academic Counseling will be provided to students on a predetermined schedule.
Practical Training: Depending upon the subject, a required amount of practical training will be imparted to students.
Project/Report: The student is also required to prepare projects wherever necessary.
Intelligent, articulate, ethical and active individuals with a will to upgrade their skills and knowledge are encouraged to apply for the SBS programs
All eligible candidates will be enrolled/admitted based on merit
Continuous evaluation will be conducted periodically carries 30% weightage on the final score Term end university examination carries 70% weightage on the final score Continuous evaluation is done through assignments and practical’s. In each subject a student should secure at least 35% score/marks in continuous evaluation and 35% in the term-end examination and the aggregate of 50% to pass
Based on the performance of the students the following grades will be awarded
A= 80% +
B= 70% +
C= 60% +
D= 50% +
E= failure
All successful students will be awarded Bachelors, Masters, and doctorate by the university.
