The programme prepares students for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a registered nurse.Successful completion of this course will lead to the award of BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the Adult Nursing field of practice.
Adult Nursing enables the practitioner to provide care to those who are ill, as well as offer health promotion advice to prevent disease.
Nurses in this field work with adults of all ages who have a range of healthcare needs, to deliver high quality, safe and effective care in a variety of settings and situations.
This degree has been designed to enable graduate nurses to become caring and compassionate autonomous practitioners, who are clinical decision makers able to deliver care to a consistently high quality.
The course has been developed in close conjunction with practice colleagues. It consists of 50% theory and 50% practice. The learning experience will be in a variety of practice settings, and teaching makes extensive use of an excellent simulation centre. This will provide students with the opportunity to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge, as well as to reflect on their value base. Students will be able to effectively care for and meet the needs of adults in a variety of settings.

TAU also offers Pathway Programs which enables the students to do Pre-medical Foundation or the Pre-Medical Diploma in its campus located in Georgetown Guyana and continue with various the Bachelor of Science, Medical and Dentistry programs in different Countries including Hungary, Czech Republic, China & Philippines.
